What this website collects
This website is a static, brochure-style site. It has no contact forms, no accounts, no logins, and no comment system. As a result, the website itself does not collect personal information from you. There is nothing for you to submit, and nothing we can store about you through your visit.
The only way to send us information through this site is by clicking an email link, which opens your own email client. That correspondence is covered separately under When you contact us by email.
Hosting and infrastructure
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a UK/EU-served content delivery platform operated by Cloudflare, Inc. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare logs technical information necessary to serve the page and protect against abuse. This typically includes:
- Your IP address
- The pages you requested and the time of the request
- Your browser's user-agent string
- The referring page, if your browser sent one
This information is used by Cloudflare to deliver the site, mitigate denial-of-service attacks, and produce aggregated traffic analytics. Cloudflare retains raw request logs for a short period (typically under 30 days) and aggregated statistics for longer.
NS Bio does not see individual request logs. We only see aggregated, anonymous traffic statistics (page views, country-level visitor counts, referrer summaries) once we enable Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a privacy-respecting analytics product that uses no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors.
All other assets on this site — fonts, images, scripts — are served from this site's own domain. We do not load resources from third-party CDNs or analytics platforms (no Google Fonts, no Google Analytics, no social-media tracking pixels).
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own.
Cloudflare may set a single cookie called __cf_bm for bot management. This is a strictly necessary cookie (it identifies legitimate browsers from automated bot traffic) with a short lifetime, typically 30 minutes of inactivity. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, so we do not show a cookie banner.
If you would prefer to block this cookie, you can do so through your browser settings without affecting your ability to read the site.
When you contact us by email
If you email us — whether through a link on this site or directly — we will receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any technical email headers your client adds (which typically include your IP address and the path your email travelled).
Our email is hosted on Microsoft 365 with mailboxes located in UK and EU data centres. Microsoft acts as a data processor on our behalf for email storage and delivery. We do not use email tracking pixels or read receipts in our outbound correspondence.
How we use your enquiry
We use the information in your email solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry
- Discuss any project, service, quote, or engagement that may follow
- Maintain accurate records of our business relationship if one results
The legal bases we rely on for this processing are: your consent (given by initiating contact), our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries about our services, and contractual necessity if our exchange leads to a service agreement.
Sharing your information
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third parties involved in our handling of your information are sub-processors providing technical infrastructure on our behalf:
- Microsoft Corporation — email hosting (Microsoft 365)
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting and delivery
- FreeAgent Central Ltd — accounting and invoicing, only if you become a client and we issue you an invoice
We may disclose information where required by law (for example, in response to a valid legal request from a UK regulator or court), but we are not obligated to do so where the request is invalid, and we will challenge requests we consider unreasonable.
International transfers
NS Bio operates exclusively from the United Kingdom and does not transfer client project data outside the UK. Email infrastructure (Microsoft 365) is configured to keep mailbox data within the UK and EU. Cloudflare is a US-headquartered company; technical edge logs may transit Cloudflare's global network, which is covered by the UK–US Data Bridge and an International Data Transfer Addendum where applicable.
How long we keep information
We retain your information only as long as we have a clear reason to keep it:
- Email enquiries that do not lead to an engagement: retained for up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Active client correspondence and records: retained for the duration of the engagement.
- Closed client engagements: retained for up to 6 years following the end of the engagement, in line with Companies Act and HMRC retention requirements for accounting records.
- Cloudflare hosting logs: retained by Cloudflare per their published retention schedule (typically under 30 days for raw logs).

You have rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation in relation to personal information we hold about you:
